We are looking to appoint asap a full time (FT) teacher of English for our primary school Mutlu Keçi (in Bodrum/Turkey); first truly alternative school in Turkey, a member of a wider chain of BBOM schools (www.baskabirokulmumkun.net). Along the guidelines of BBOM educational model, Mutlu Keçi is motivated to find new and ground-breaking ways to encourage children to take possession of their learning and develop as individuals and they are committed to the continual improvement of the teaching and learning experience. Our school is under subscribed (44 children) mixed-sex primary school (6-10 years old children). Children are taught in ability groups (mixed aged) and all have personalized curriculum that aim to
individually develop each child’s overall development as learner. The education is conducted in Turkish; English is the main foreign language.
We are looking for a highly committed and enthusiastic English teacher to add value to our thriving school. Applicants will be expected to contribute to the extra-curricular activities of the establishment and take a full part in school life. The model applicant should be able to connect with children through different teaching strategies. Previous experience in an alternative school is preferable but not essential. If native speaker, qualification in English teaching is preferable but not essential. If not native speaker, qualification in English teaching is must. Child-centered and democratic educational attitudes are musts.
